Hey there, I'm Seija Kingston (pronounced Say-yuh). I'm a graphic designer based in Chanhassen, Minnesota, specializing in brand identity and print design.
My path into design started with a high school graphic design class that made everything click. I've always been drawn to making things with my hands, whether that's painting, knitting, or building visual identities from scratch. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Graphic Information Technology from Arizona State University, and somewhere along the way, design shifted from something I loved doing to something I couldn't imagine not doing.
What excites me most about design is watching a brand come to life, taking an idea or a handful of reference images and turning it into something tangible that someone can hold, share, or build a business around. There's something deeply satisfying about seeing a logo stamped on the bottom of a handmade ceramic mug or a wedding invitation that makes someone's day feel a little more special. I love the moment when a project stops being pixels on a screen and becomes real.I work primarily with small businesses, makers, and artisans who care about the details and want their brand to feel as thoughtful as the work they do. My approach is collaborative and rooted in really understanding what makes a brand tick: what it stands for, who it's for, and how it should feel.
When I'm not designing, you'll probably find me knitting, experimenting with my gouache paints, planning my next mountain adventure, or taking way too many photos of good light.
